Go with your gut instinct

Isn't it funny how you meet people out of the blue that totally change your life? Well, I have a story to tell that has a similar way of seeming to be a tad bit peculiar how I met so many people butt, in a nutshell; worked out to have a happy ending. It all started with this guy right here. Lance and I have known each other for a few years now and he is my DoTerra Guru.  I've been using DoTerra Oils and supplements for some time now and absolutely love them!  He is my go to guy on IG @EssentialOilsMe for anything Essential Oils and I recommend checking out his EssentialOIlsMe YouTube Channel as well. Anyhow, Lance mentioned to me a while back about a lady named Marianne Klingenberg who I should speak to her about coming to one of my Goal Mapping/Fire Starter Sessions as an inspirational speaker.  He mentioned Microscopy to me and I was like a  Microscopy What?????  He said I should take a look at her See My Cells page on Facebook and give her a call to schedule an ap

Gosh being on meal prep is so hard! You get really tired, lose your train of thought very easily and most of all get really over emotional.  No wonder it is call "Competition Brain" or something like that.  Anyhow here is a picture with my Fitness Sisters and Posing Coach after posing practice at the TruFusion Eastern location.  Our posing coach (above) Denise Dinger aka The Posing Coach is such an amazing mentor to have and even has her own energy bar line out.  Her coaching makes me feel so comfortable and I've never had a trainer like this before so it is a real treat to have the best of the best. During meal prep, I need to remember to take everything in life a little bit slower and give myself time to be easy on myself.  You see, every time I have a workout with my workout family I make sure that I try my best to take the time to say hello to everyone.  Today one of the girls in particular I felt that she wasn't acknowledging me when I said hello and it h

Mr Olympia Expo 2017

Image
The Mr. Olympia Expo 2107 was so much fun!! DAY 1:  I was so amped to meet all of my new sponsors that I had a list and timesheet ready to get business rolling.  But had I known before how massive this expo is and just exactly how much preparation it really takes to go through one of these expo and make it out alive takes a lot of organization that I had no idea! My friend Jessica Cram and I decided to take an Uber to the Convention Hall (great idea) but when we arrived we realized the line was literally half a mile long (bad idea).  We looked at each other and just went for it thinking that we can do this together not even realizing that we should have probably bought the tickets online and printed them before arriving. We stood in line for about an hour but before long we both started to get a little agitated by everyone pushing and being rude that we decided to call it quits and start walking back to my place.  Hey we were getting cardio instead.

Welcome my NEWEST Sponsor Pure Charge Nutrition

I have found the holy grail of all Plant Protein Powders that has solved all my digestive issues.  You see, I literally have the most sensitive digestive track on the planet.  Even if I chew too much gum or drink alcohol it can put my stomach into knots for days sometimes longer and so if I eat too much dairy or meat; it can really put my immune system in jeopardy. When I interviewed Josh Truex The Muscle Whisperer on my Michelle Davis Fitness TV Show a few weeks ago, I had an offer to have a treatment session with him.  When I did I saw these sample packets of PCN oh his shelf and took a closer look at what it was about.  PLANT PROTEIN in says in big bold letters and believe me I've tried every protein powder under the sun and just couldn't stand any of them.  The chalky gross flavors knowing me I just won't have it unless it tastes good. So took a couple packets home and tried one in the morning with my usual Whey Shake and it actually tasted pretty darn good.  I

I love learning about new inexpensive ways to take care of my skin and feel beautiful.  Don't you?  Especially since the skin is the biggest organ we have and living in Las Vegas; I don't have time to not take care of my skin.  As I age, I notice that I have taken my skin care regiment a step farther into preventive care so I can stay on top of having that beautiful healthy glow.  I know it's eating clean, exercise, taking collagen and supplements but it also has to do with the products I use on my skin that matters how I age. Every month I have to buy a certain skincare products that are SOOO expensive I can feel a little flame go off in my wallet every time I buy them but they work so well that is why I don't mind putting the money where my mouth is.  The company is Rodan & Fields and why I'm not knocking this company is because their products do work fantastic and I've received several compliments about my skin ever since I've been taking them.

My NEW Sponsor Egg Whites International The purest form of protein known to man in the entire World! I came along this product when I first began training thanks to my fitness sister Annie Breier.  I did not want to drink egg whites straight out of the carton or from the egg.  There are a lot of unpasteurized bacteria that can cause a lot of discomfort and I certainly wanted to avoid that. Egg Whites International is 100% pure liquid egg whites is a form that is tasteless and odorless and is pasteurized & salmonella tested.  All natural, USDA inspected, Kosher approved and non GMO.  There are no preservatives and is 100% Bio-Available.  There are so many recipes on their Egg Whites Int. website but most importantly, it helps you lose up to 2-3lbs of fat a week and still gain lean muscle mass.  Ladies, did you hear that? This product is lactose & gluten free and not only is it 100% guaranteed but you can order online or by phone and it is shipped to your door in a fre

Today I posted this pic making people know that even though I train and workout everyday that I'm still human and have issues.  This pic was taken 2 days ago by my good friend and Photographer Christian Purdie. Now, when I first saw this photo, the old me came back and tried to punish me.  "All this hard work and you still have cellulite!"  But then the new me sprung into action and motivated me to push away any self hatred critic in me and ignore all the bullshit that was starting to stir up in my head.  Were my self defeating habits trying to ruining my day?  I don't think so!  But, This is when I knew having supportive friends around me made the entire difference between how I reacted and then how I decided to truly love my body.   While at Vickie's Diner over coffee after the photo shoot, Christian told me to create a mantra.  "What's a Manta?"  I said.  He said, its when you create a definition or a saying of who you are until it com

So What's the Big Deal? I get so excited to work out and be active everyday.  Rise n Shine.  Make my egg whites and Oatmeal and holy cow do I love to dress up in my work out clothes!  It doesn't matter wether it's raining and freezing or blazing hot at 115 degrees, I'm always in favor of doing my sets with my Fitness Family.  I remember quite a few people asking me.  Michelle, is it all about Protein Shakes and going to the Gym everyday that makes you so happy? Well, I'm not trying to change the world by running a 50 mile marathon; I'm pretty normal when it comes to the average white 34 year female old athlete trying to live a healthy life.  Go to the gym, yoga it up, juice and superfoods, go for a swim and a sauna later kind of gal. Pretty laid back but seriously active at the same time.  Sounds funny right?  But this Bikini Fitness competition that I've entered myself into has got me thinking exactly what have I got myself into? There's no m

Every morning I wake up early.  Sometimes really early like around 3:30 but most days it's around 6:30am.  It's funny how the beginning of our day can set the tone for our mode and emotions for the rest of that day.  So it's very important to be gentle on yourself when you first wake up.  I wish I could be like that.  Every morning I wake up and instantly I have really in depth thoughts that never go away. Thoughts about life, career, family, my insecurities, lots of questions searching for answers in self help books and most of all.  Thoughts about my sister Christine and why she had to leave me.  Why does this happen almost every morning?  I'm exhausted before I leave my home and its only 10am sometimes. First thing I feel the need to do is move.   My body reacts to wanting to feel good so by getting on my elliptical machine and doing my cardio right when I wake before breakfast, it sets my body in action to allow my mind to respond and stop all the negative think

Welcome to my very first Blog post about Michelle Davis Fitness. Let me first tell you why I started this blog.  To inspire others to live life more freely and be healthier and happier through my love in fitness and health with my active lifestyle becoming a Body Builder.  You see, my sister Christine.  She lost her battle with cancer Tuesday June 13th at 10:32am and I'll never forget that feeling of sadness. I had been dreading the feeling of loosing her for so long and when it finally happened, I was free.  I had been driving back and forth supporting my sister for years and nothing else mattered.  But when I realized inside that I had to deal with the reality of her being gone, there was something inside myself that said I needed to get up and move.  Deal with the loss of a loved one can bring on so much depression that your energy with be zapped quickly if you don't watch out.  The only thing that cured my pain and depression of not knowing how to deal with my sisters d
