Why I LOVE writing and how it has helped me grow
Writing has become a very good release for me to channel my emotions and release them. Here is a few pictures when I wrote or Vegas Rocks Magazine as a Rocks n' Roll Fashion Journalist. One thing I found out through Journalism and Broadcasting was how much i love to write. By writing over the years, this has reduced my depression BIG TIME and lessen up on my Anxiety.
Having a Food Journal also that I write in everyday has definitely given me the discipline that I need to gain the insight of when I'm snacking and need to eat more sustainability REAL MEALS to win my Bodybuilding competitions. Also by writing down my meals in a journal, as well as how many hours I've slept, my stress level, ect. these are things about my body that I become more mindful about. Such as when I feel a cold vs. seasonal allergies coming on. I also have built up my immunity in not feeling frustrated when it's that time of the month and I feel sluggish and bloated.
Writing my feeling and emotions in a journal has also gained me a lot more sense of clarity to my health and happiness. By starting this habit of journaling, I know have a better sense of myself. Even writing about my day and the goods with the bad, I tend to read back the small stuff that doesn't matter.
By tackling the past, wiring has allowed me to let things go. Releasing the past and not worrying about the future.
Write down your goals, your dreams, what excites you, what scares you, Where do you see yourself in 1 year? 5 years? Get on your story and start writing.
Writing how you feel about yourself good and bad also allows you to really see how you view yourself. A viewpoint of yourself is how you show up in the world. I've let go of a lot of my body dysmorphia by journaling my unhealthy habits or my weaknesses that I know inside I want and need to release and by doing this i allow my happiness to show up.
Schedule a time that you journal about yourself. Your future, your past, your strengths, your weaknesses, your affirmations and maybe even draw out a mandala while podcasting about your goals and dreams. Speak to yourself as someone you'd like to give a compliment to and DO IT! Wether journaling, podcasting, photography, dancing, playing an instrument, singing, get your emotions and feelings out there to be released so you can move on and GROW!
