Oral Hygiene Health Benefits
So that means that the plaque you build up in your mouth that is caused by the acid in your saliva, food you eat and not having proper oral hygiene can actually cause really serious problems down the road if not taken seriously.
Periodontal Disease is one that most don't take seriously when needing to use mouthwash and floss daily. A water pick is excellent to get rid of food and bacteria stuck in the gum line. And most people do not change their toothbrush regularly. Sandra mentioned to change your toothbrush every 2-3 months.
Did you know that most people only truly care about their teeth when it comes to vanity and how they look? So for instance, Sandra mentioned; that the front of any teeth are extremely important to people because of looks so if someones front teeth are damaged, you better believe that people get it cosmetically fixed ASAP.
But when people have teeth that have fallen out like molars and you can't see them when you smile, some people just leave them there and that's a REALLY SUPER BAD DANGER ZONE for bacteria to linger and cause bacteria and viral infections. Because our molars are used to smash and breakup the food and what happens is when individuals who haven taken their back teeth out or have fallen out, then they start using their front teeth to break food down and eventually this wears down the gums BIG TIME because these front teeth were not used for grinding and smashing but ripping and tearing. Darn carnivores!
A good note Sandra also mentioned was TO NOT BRUSH YOUR TEETH LIKE YOU WOULD A REGULAR TOOTHBRUSH IF YOU HAVE AN ELECTRONIC TOOTHBRUSH! A regular toothbrush your doing all the work where as an electronic toothbrush needs to better handled with a lighter brushing style so it doesn't irritate the gum line.
THIS IS ONE OF MY BAD FAULTS IS I PRESS TO HARD ON MY GUMS WITH MY TOOTHBRUSH AND IF YOU DO THIS WITH A REGUALR TOOTHBRUSH THEN YOUR LITERALLY DISINTEGRATING YOUR GUM LINE. WHICH FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD YOUR TEETH CAN FALL OUT!
WHEN YOU FLUSH A TOILET AND DON'T CLOSE THE LID OF YOUR TOILET, THE BACTERIA FROM YOUR TOILET WATER GOES AIRBORNE AND WILL END UP EVERYWHERE! HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE YOUR TOOTHBRUSH CLOSE TO A TOILET? IMAGINE THAT!!!
Happy Brushing!
