Stress Free Ways to Make Easy Extra Money

by Michelle Davis

Introduction

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always had a niche for making money. I am very creative so finding extra outlets for me to make an extra buck has never been difficult. So I figured I would put together this book and pass it out to all my friends and fans who may be interested in ideas to create extra income.

We all want more money in our lives but this is not going to make us more happy. Money makes you feel content and safe, but it does not give you the lasting memories that friends and family can bring. Yes, money is important to bring together memories for us all to gain happiness and love together, but some people live their lives soley just on either saving or spending money and put aside the friends and family part and pay the price dearly in the end when they’re very confused looking for happiness.

Making money and saving it has always made me feel safe rather than making money and spending it. To be creative and take saved money and turn that into more money has made me feel so tremendously prideful that this is where I give myself credit for being a strong independent woman and never relying on my parents or anyone to get ahead in life financially. I’ve relied on my strength, pushed past my weaknesses and never doubled my abilities.

I also wanted to give out ideas on how to make extra money to women that are or are not tech savvy. In order to find your niche, sometimes utilizing extra ways to make money can be found being online and not being online. Everyday we use our cell phones, are online and use technology in some way shape or form. But to rely on technology soley to make a living can be scary if you don’t know anything about it. So, I wanted to give a lot of extra good ideas on how to make money with and without the need of technology.

I feel that it is very important for women living in a small towns (who don’t use technology often) to educate themselves on ways to make extra without the need of a cell phone, being online or using a computer. And, yes it is vitally important to advertise your business with a website and social media pages to promote your company, but as well; there are some that don’t mind being completely unplugged and do fine making a decent extra income.

And included are all the women out there who live in cities who use cell phones day to day and have to be on a computers in order to work. This also is a grand advantage to all of the hundred if not thousands of ways to make extra money online.

I hope you can find this book insightful to go out and look for new creative ways that can spark up your life to have more energy, be more healthy, create a new outlook on how you look at yourself with more confidence and essentially yes make more money that makes you mentally stronger. If I could give you one idea that helps you reinvent yourself and start a new idea in life to move forward then I feel my job is complete. I love you and good luck!

Ch 1

Turn your Hobby into a career

Most people fall short when it comes to the follow-through stage, thinking stuff happens overnight. Sometimes easiest way to turn dreams into reality is simply to focus your energies on something you really love to do. If you’re ready for a challenge, now is a good time for you to do something serious thinking about yourself – what you’ve done in the past, what are you doing now, and what you really want to do with the rest of your life.

One of the first things you need to think about is the difference between a dream and a goal. Goals become reality, they must be written, they must be measurable and they must have a deadline. You might dream of selling your craft and making money, but your goal should say something around how much you will be selling and stand with a firm goal in mind to plan the hours you will need to devote in making products, figuring out maximum number of product supplies, calculating the cost of producing the merchandise and then figure out what kind of prices you must set to actually generate this volume of sales for it all to make sense.

Many people go through life thinking they aren’t artistic or creative simply because they have always taken certain life skills for granted. And people say they are creative tend overlook the fact that they may be able to make your delicious casserole without a recipe, invent a game or toy that amuses a child, or find imaginative ways to use antiques as decorative home or business.

Identify With Your Talents.

What do you love to do?

What do you do best?

What things have you learned in a formal education?

Job Experience?

Volunteering?

Community and Social Activities?

Do not underestimate your common life skills. Such things like homemaking, arts, cooking, sewing, childcare, stitchery, music, literature, gardening, interior decorating, pet care. The list goes on and on about how amazing and talented you are just doing daily habitual activities.

List your Special Abilities

What are your special talents?

What are your special hand skills?

What are your special Know-How’s?

What are your Special Interest?

What are some of your talents?

What do folks rave about that you create?

Make a Plan.

A business plan is a very good idea when it comes to laying our a budgeting plan to overview your costs. It is key to look at the basic economics principles of how your side business is ultimately going to make you a lucrative extra income in the end.

Get the word out. Word-of-mouth is the most valuable piece that you could be missing when it comes to spreading the word about what your goods and services. Set up a website, establish your social media pages, get business cards, and donate your time to those that can build a testimonials to example how well your goods or services work.

Example: Being a Personal Trainer in Person vs. Online Coaching

Are you a people person or do you work best alone?

What type of environment would you like to be in when generating your extra income?

Remember it’s the tribe you vibe with and your environmental surroundings that matter when you must remember to enjoy yourself (this is not a 9-5 job) so allowing yourself to having fun when making an extra profit is a super bonus.

Is this extra income going to take up a lot of your time? Do you have kids or other obligations and responsibilities that you need to remember about? How long Of time do you expect to run this side business for? 1, 5, 10, 20 years? Are you going to need employees down the road if you increase in sales? What’s your monthly gross income goal? Are you going to need a business license or pay taxes? Are you going to need an office or a building in order to create your dream?

Make sure you sit and really think about what you’re doing before you create it. Lay out the business plan, talk to your family and budget for the next 3 to 6 months so you see a trajectory outcome of where your income should be met by the end of your business cycle.

A business typically takes around 6 months to a year to generate income so are you willing to spend money in order for it to grow?

Ch 2

Leaving your “Comfort Zone”

Ever been up in the middle of the night and can’t sleep pondering big questions about where you are now in life? Where is your comfort zone? Do you want to keep moving forward into an area that’s unknown and downright scary? Some people say they prefer to stay where they are.

Fear of failure is often first on everyone’s list of reasons why they shouldn’t do this or that, but failure is simply one way of finding out what works and what doesn’t. We are never weaker because we have failed at something instead we are tougher, more determined, and wiser. Failure is the principal research method used in all scientific, medical and industrial research.

Replace the word failure with mistake. iIt seems easier to handle because mistakes or normal part of every day life and a big part of home business life. What’s important is how you view them. “A man who can’t make a mistake, can’t make anything” says Abraham Lincoln.

The Value Of Your Time

Labor is a critical factor in which we set our time to value prices. The consideration of value in time is which we serve ourselves daily is for our morals somewhere to be staked out along the line. Who are you and what you do affects not only the life you live and the price you value yourself at, but you’re likely to change your value based on the set decisions to life’s questions that make us ask if this is worth what we’re doing and being honest with ourselves.

Do you have the right attitude for financial success in a business of your own? There’s a big difference between working for economic necessity and working for extra money.

On average people work 25 hours a week and in full time it’s nearly 53 hours a week. That doesn’t count the brain wave activity while you’re not actually at the job though. Thoughts about planning, studying, pondering, researching, it stated that you think on average 84 hours a week about your occupation while your actually not on the job at all. How many of you are guilty of this? How many of you take your job home with you and have a hard time getting it out of your head?

We enjoy working, and find that our biggest problem is allowing ourselves time to relax and take a break. Especially Type A personalities who are predisposed to workaholism. The stress generated by living and working in the same place (home) also is often overwhelming, so we constantly have to remind ourselves to take time off.

Ch 3

Nitty- Gritty Legal and Financial Stuff

You can call it a Hobby. But making it a business on paper will set you free. You become free to explore ways to increase the return of your investment, ways that are not available to the hobbyist. If you continually complain about how difficult it is to make money at working, then think about how you were treating your endeavors? Put into perspective. Do those few things that will make it more of a business in your mind to clear yourself and set you free to be more profitable.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse. As soon as you begin to sell what you make, or offer your services, same laws and regulations that apply to big businesses begin to apply to you also. This might sound frightening but if you hadn’t had any business experience in the past, now it’s time for you to begin.

Are you going to be in business or do you want to sell what you make as a hobby? The choice is yours. The IRS to find a hobby as an activity engaged and primarily for pleasure. Lots of sustained in the pursuit of a hobby or not deductible. If hobby income is under $400, it should be entered on your 1040 tax form. If hobby income is more than $400 however you must file a schedule C 1040 tax form. This allows you to deduct related expenses up to, but not exceeding, the amount earned from the hobby. Making a profit, however, does not automatically put you in business. You’re activity becomes a business in your eyes of IRS only when you begin to make regular business transactions with the idea of profit in mind and actually make a profit in 3 out of 5 consecutive years.

Questions to ask yourself when starting a business.

Does your business likely need to have local zoning ordinances?

Do you need any kind of license or permit to legally operate a business?

What’s the penalty for selling products to consumers without charging sales tax on them?

Important to have a separate telephone number and business checking account for your business?

Have you registered your business name locally?

Have you set up a merchant account for credit card transactions?

Is your business at home or in an office?

Do you need personal or product liability insurance?

What kind of bookkeeping system is required by the IRS?

What deductions can a home business owner take to lower the amount of profit on which self-employment taxes will be due?

When do you need a lawyer’s advice, and when can you safely operate without one?

What federal regulations apply to artists and crafters and business?
