Why Posing Practice Is So Important

Why Posing Practice Is So Important

After the endless hours and hours of practicing posing for the competition is definitely just as important as training, dieting and having the confidence needing to win a show.

Your mind and body need to connect with moves that make your body look it’s best.  So, with my coach Michael Healea , he definitely takes his time to critique each and every client to make sure they feel and look their best inside and out.

When you practice, the moves and transitions need to be perfected to where you could rehearse them in your sleep.  For me, I practiced so much that I didn't know the difference between posing practice and posing in a real competition but every time I went to posing practice it became such an important part of learning my body.

Not only does posing help you with posing but just being comfortable in your own skin.  Posing half naked in front of people, right away is a vulnerable feeling.  Especially if you’ve been used to covering up and hiding insecurities your whole life with clothes. It’s almost like unveiling the old you and walking out on stage as a new version and even better you.

Posing practice with Michael Healea from Platinum Physiques is a major part of making a “Champion Mindset”.  I would absolutely try posing practice before signing up for a competition so you can get a sense of what it’s like walking in heels, transitioning poses and getting a feel for what it's like to be in a Bodybuilding show.

My team practices every Wednesday 3pm at LVAC off Eastern and we all like to help each other by encouraging, complimenting and helping each other to push harder when some of us may be having a tuff day.

Peak week alone I can’t imagine not having my Fitness Family at posing practice.  It’s such a great feeling when you know people around you are working as hard as you and that's what having a true team is all about.

Posing practice can help your walk in heels that alone being a woman for me makes me feel more confident and sexy.   Feeling confident walking, strutting and striking poses automatically over time can make you feel pretty spectacular.

Michael is just what you need to get your mind to know just how beautiful you are inside and out.
