What To Expect During Peak Week

What to expect during Peak Week

5 Big Misconceptions

Stress- Everyone freaks out during Peak Week.  Keep it simple.  1 week out you should be “Stage Ready.”  Relax, work is already done.

2.  Count Macros- Not necessary just be specific on what you limit, cut down or eliminate.  Dairy, artificial sweeteners, salt, sugar, herbs, medications.

3.  Prepare.  Don’t wait I’ll the last minute!  Do this before Peak Week.  Get a base tan- just to “Base” your natural color a darker shade before the show.  Wash your hair, shave, pluck, wax, pedicure, manicure, haircut, hair extensions, appointments for MUA, Tan Company, pack shoes, suit, jewelry, NPC Card.

4.  Depleting Salt and Water slowly for optimum leaness.  Every body is different and each person carries water and salt differently.  Try a Dry Sauna, stretch and yoga, foam roll, Whole Body Vibration Machine, Rebounding, Body Compression and Hydrogen Therapy helps me lean out.

5.  Don’t overtrain.  Get rest more during peak week then ever before.  Keep@your muscles full so lighten up on your workouts but don’t overdo it.  Everything should be in place one week out.

Generally things to expect when on Peak Week.  Things like weakness, tiredness, fatigue, energy up and down, dizziness, nausea, inflammation in areas never felt before.  Don’t worry just take it easy and don’t freak out.  Because this process is temporary and you can’t do this.

You’ve come this far and stayed this focused so this is the hardest part to lay your excitement aside and just be humble and grateful that your work is done.

I'm 3 Days Out from my next competition The Jay Cutler Desert Classics April 20th at the Tropicana Casino and I want to thank Saleyla for making this new beautiful suit for me.
