The Morning Of The Jay Cutler Desert Classic Bodybuilding Competition
The Morning Of The Competition
It’s 3:30am and I’ve not fallen asleep yet. My MUA will be here at 5am and spray tan 6:30am. Can you believe some girls are getting their hair and makeup done at 3:30 or 4:30am is insane! The show begins at 10am and I’m the 3rd fallout from the lineup.
The Butterflies in my stomach alone make it hard to get any sleep. So here we are and today’s the day and what a triumphant feeling. Even as exhausted as I am, I am more pumped up to show off all my hard work on stage more than ever before.
So many times I’ve rehearsed this day again and again in my head and now that’s it’s here it’s so hard to believe. All the competitors look their best and the crowd is ready for a show. My coach has taken a look at my physique to make sure I look ready to go and my teammates are so excited to cheer me on. What a spectacular feeling to get such outstanding support.
All sorts of sugary and salty snacks backstage while everyone has their feet propped up to avoid swollen legs, and in the corner is the Tanning Company getting the guys and girls ready with what is called a “Bikini bite” and ushers and calling out classes and numbers for everyone to take their place in line.
As you walk onto the stage, you’re able to admire all the miraculous suits on the competitors and the trophies and medals their giving out just to really get you excited. The DJ is playing some really good tunes. Lined up and ready to go to pre-judging.
Individual poses and then lineup for comparisons is typically the fashion I follow and after we exit the stage we receive our placings in the night show. So, even more suspense LOL
